Programs Open for Admission

The Fall 2026 admissions page lists undergraduate programs under seven faculties at the Hafiz Hayat Campus, plus four programs at Mandi Bahauddin. Our site has a page for every program:

Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility is set out faculty by faculty in the Admission Policy Fall-2026 (PDF). The headline thresholds are:

  • Arts, Social Sciences, Management, Design and most Science programs: at least 45% in Intermediate or a relevant DAE (life sciences need Pre-Medical with Biology; Mathematics and Chemistry need those subjects).
  • Computing and IT: 50% in Intermediate (Pre-Medical, Pre-Engineering, Science or ICS) or a relevant DAE; Pre-Medical students take Mathematics deficiency courses.
  • BSc Chemical and Electrical Engineering: 60% in Intermediate Pre-Engineering/Pre-Medical/ICS or DAE plus an accepted entry test (UET, NED/MUET, NUST, NTS or ETEA).
  • BSc Engineering Technology programs: 50% in Intermediate or relevant DAE plus the UOG departmental test.
  • B.Arch: 50% in Intermediate Pre-Engineering, Pre-Medical or A-Level, or a PBTE Diploma in Architecture Technology, plus the departmental test and interview.
  • LLB: HEC Law Admission Test (LAT) with at least 50%; no upper age limit.
  • Age limit: 25 years at the closing date (27 for lateral entry). First-year Intermediate results allow provisional application.

Annexure-II of the policy reserves seats for special persons, sports, UoG employees’ children, ex-FATA and minorities (2% each), overseas Pakistanis’ children (5%), Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, AJK and Armed Forces wards (1% each), advocates’ children in LLB (5%) and DJPSC students at Mandi Bahauddin (10%).

How to Apply

  1. Go to the UoG Fall 2026 admissions page and open the registration link at uog.edu.pk/uog/register.php.
  2. Create an account, log in and fill in personal, academic and program-choice details; more than one program may be selected.
  3. Upload scanned Matric and Intermediate (or first-year) results, CNIC/B-Form, photograph and any quota certificate.
  4. Pay the application processing fee of Rs. 200 per degree program through the Bank of Punjab branch or app (official policy figure).
  5. Submit before the deadline (7 August 2026 for Fall 2026) and appear for the departmental test or interview where required (8 August 2026).
  6. Check the official merit lists; if selected, pay the semester dues before the fee deadline printed on the list or the seat passes to the next candidate.
  7. Report for classes on the start date (Admission Help page for portal issues).

Entry Test and Merit

Most UoG undergraduate programs have no entry test; merit comes from Intermediate (or DAE) marks. The exceptions, per the official policy, are: BSc Chemical and Electrical Engineering (merit = 50% Intermediate/DAE + 17% Matric + 33% external engineering test), the four BSc Engineering Technology programs (70% Intermediate/DAE + 30% UOG departmental test), B.Arch (60% academics + 30% UOG departmental test in drawing, design and general knowledge + 10% interview) and LLB (HEC LAT with 50% minimum). A sample entry test is available on the official site. See our UoG entry test page and the entry tests archive.

Fee and Scholarships

UoG publishes a fee figure for every undergraduate program on its programs page; department pages show it as a first-semester total covering admission charges, refundable library security, tuition, examination charges and semester dues. Examples: BS Computer Science, BS IT and BBA Rs. 71,500 (morning) and Rs. 99,000 (evening); B.Arch Rs. 130,860; LLB Rs. 77,000; BS Economics Rs. 38,450; BS History and BS Urdu Rs. 22,000. Transport is optional and charged by route. The application fee is Rs. 200 per program. No dedicated financial aid page was found on the official site, so ask the university about need-based, HEC and Punjab government scholarships, and see our scholarships section for schemes open to UoG students.
