The University of Education (UE) is a public university established by the Government of the Punjab through an ordinance on 10 September 2002. Its headquarters and main campus are in Township, Lahore, and the university has two further Lahore sites, the Lower Mall Campus and the Bank Road Campus, plus campuses in Attock, DG Khan, Faisalabad, Jauharabad, Multan and Vehari, nine in total.
About the Campus
UE was created by bringing together Punjab’s historic teacher-training institutions; the Lower Mall site, for example, was the Government College of Education before it became a UE campus. Today the Lahore campuses host the university’s five divisions: Arts and Social Sciences; Education; Islamic and Oriental Learning; Management and Administrative Science; and Science and Technology.
