The Wari Campus of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University, Sheringal is the university’s sub-campus at Wari, a town in Dir Upper district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, on the Panjkora river between Timergara and the main campus at Sheringal. The official SBBU website does not yet publish a campus page (its Campuses menu is unpopulated), so the details below are limited to what can be confirmed and the year of establishment is not stated.
About the Campus
SBBU Sheringal is the only public university in Dir Upper, a mountainous district where travel to the main campus at Sheringal, around 50 kilometres further up the valley, is slow for much of the year. The Wari campus places degree education closer to the lower part of the district, including Wari, Chapar and the Dir town area. HEC lists SBBU Sheringal as a recognised public-sector university of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (hec.gov.pk). The main university offers twenty departments across agriculture, natural sciences, computing, social sciences, education, management, law and pharmacy (sbbu.edu.pk).
