The two-year Associate Degree in Psychology covers the first half of a BS Psychology: introduction to psychology, basic research methods and statistics, developmental, social and cognitive psychology, personality theories and an introduction to abnormal psychology, plus the HEC general-education courses in English, Pakistan studies, Islamic studies and computing. It is a recognised exit qualification in its own right and a bridge into the third year of a BS program.
This degree suits students who want a shorter, cheaper start in psychology, mature students returning to study, and those who are still deciding between psychology and another social science. It is available at Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi according to the official program list.

Career Scope in Pakistan
With an associate degree alone, graduates typically work as classroom or special-education assistants, NGO field staff, HR and customer-care assistants, or research helpers. Most continue into a BS Psychology and later an MS, which opens counselling, clinical, school and organisational psychology careers across Pakistan’s hospitals, schools, companies and development sector.
