BS Mathematics at the National University of Modern Languages is a four-year undergraduate program of the Department of Mathematics in the Faculty of Engineering and Computing, offered at the Islamabad main campus, Lahore and Hyderabad.
Program Overview
BS Mathematics at NUML is a four-year program in pure and applied mathematics. Core courses include calculus and analytical geometry, linear algebra, differential equations, real and complex analysis, abstract algebra, topology, numerical analysis, probability and statistics, and mathematical modelling, with programming and computing courses that reflect the department’s home in the Faculty of Engineering and Computing. The Islamabad campus also runs a bridging version and a separate BS Computational Mathematics and AI.
It is a good fit for students who enjoyed mathematics at intermediate level, want to teach, or intend to move into data science, actuarial work, finance or research. Discipline and comfort with abstraction matter more than memorisation.

Career Scope in Pakistan
Mathematics graduates in Pakistan go into school and college teaching (often after a B.Ed or MS), banking and insurance analytics, data-science and software roles that value quantitative skills, the statistics and planning departments of government, and research or lecturing after postgraduate study. The degree also gives strong preparation for competitive exams and for international postgraduate scholarships.
