BS Psychology (Health) at the National University of Modern Languages is a four-year undergraduate specialisation in health psychology, offered by the Department of Psychology at the NUML Lahore campus.

Program Overview

BS Psychology with a Health specialisation looks at how behaviour, stress, lifestyle and social conditions affect physical health and recovery from illness. Alongside the common psychology core (cognitive, developmental, social and abnormal psychology, statistics, research methods), the health track adds courses such as health psychology, stress and coping, behaviour change, psychology of chronic illness, community and public-health psychology and health-promotion practice, with placements in healthcare settings where available.

Students who are interested in medicine and wellbeing but do not want the laboratory-heavy route of a pure science degree often find health psychology a good fit. It is also useful for anyone planning to work in hospitals, public-health projects or patient-support programs.
