Program Overview

The LLB curriculum follows the Pakistan Bar Council and HEC framework: constitutional law, criminal law and procedure, civil procedure, contract, tort, property, family and Islamic law, evidence, company and taxation law, jurisprudence, legal research and drafting, with moot courts and court visits. Since 2018 new LLB intakes in Pakistan must be five-year programmes after intermediate. Under HEC and Pakistan Bar Council rules, admission to a five-year LLB requires passing the HEC Law Admission Test (LAT); the university’s prospectus (Prospectus 2026) sets the minimum percentage and whether a separate university test applies. Check the official website for the current LAT and merit requirements, since the prospectus could not be opened when this page was written. Note that the university posted notices on 16 October 2026 listing valid and invalid LLB degrees, which underlines the importance of enrolling only through the official channel.

Admission Process

LLB admission follows the same central cycle as other programmes, through admissions.sbbusba.edu.pk. For 2026 the university opened admissions on 27 August 2026, extended the last date to apply to 29 September 2026, held the main-campus entry test on 2-4 October 2026 and the Naushahro Feroze campus test on 17-18 October 2026, and issued the main-campus BS merit list on 7 October 2026 with fee submission due by 22 October 2026 (Source: sbbusba.edu.pk). Law applicants should attach their LAT result card where required. After the merit list, selected candidates pay the fee by the deadline and report to the College of Law. Fee Structure

The official fee structure page lists BS programmes at Rs. 8,000 admission and Rs. 16,000 per semester but does not include LLB (Source: Fees Structure). No LLB fee could therefore be verified – check the official website or contact the College of Law.

Career Scope in Pakistan

LLB graduates who complete bar enrolment practise as advocates in district and sessions courts and, with experience, the Sindh High Court. Other paths include civil judge and public prosecutor examinations, legal officer posts in banks, insurance and corporations, revenue and police legal cells, NGO legal aid, and the civil service. Central Sindh’s growing litigation around land, water and agricultural disputes keeps demand for lawyers steady. An LLM leads to teaching and specialised practice.
