BS Artificial Intelligence – University of Management and Technology

The BS Artificial Intelligence at the University of Management and Technology (UMT) is a four-year undergraduate degree run by UMT’s School of Artificial Intelligence at the main campus in C-II Johar Town, Lahore. UMT is one of the larger private universities in Punjab and was among the first in the country to set up a dedicated AI school rather than housing AI inside computer science.

Program Overview

UMT’s AI curriculum combines the standard computing foundation (programming, data structures, databases, operating systems) with a sequence in probability, linear algebra, machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, natural language processing and intelligent agents, ending in a final year project. Eligibility Criteria

The official page requires a minimum of 50% marks in Intermediate with no third division in Matriculation, and Mathematics at Intermediate is mandatory. FSc Pre-Medical students may be admitted but must pass six credit hours of Mathematics deficiency courses within the first two semesters. Admission Process

1. Register and apply online at onlineadmissions.umt.edu.pk and pay the application processing fee.
2. Upload Matric and Intermediate (or Part I) marks sheets, CNIC/B-Form and a photograph.
3. Sit the UMT admission test on the scheduled date; a minimum of 50% is required for this program.
4. Receive the merit decision from the Office of Information and Admissions and pay the first quarterly instalment to confirm enrolment.

Fee Structure

UMT publishes a tentative total ‘learning investment’ for the four-year BS Artificial Intelligence of Rs 2,290,000, payable as a quarterly fee of Rs 143,125.
