CUST Undergraduate Admissions 2026-27

CUST Islamabad admits undergraduates twice a year. As of October 2026 the Fall 2026 cycle (announced 20 May 2026) is in its closing phase with classes under way, and a Spring 2027 cycle is expected to be advertised in the coming weeks — CUST’s Spring 2026 round was promoted on its website in late 2025. Programs Open for Admission

• BS Electrical, Computer, Civil and Mechanical Engineering
• BS Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI, Cyber Security, Robotics & Intelligent Systems, Mathematics with Data Science
• BBA, BS Aviation Management, BS Accounting & Finance, BS Psychology, BS English
• Pharm-D, BS Biotechnology, BS Medical Laboratory Technology
• LLB
• Associate Degrees (Business Administration, Accounting & Finance, Computer Science)

CUST runs both intakes for most programs, although engineering and Pharm-D batches generally start in Fall. Associate Degree graduates can apply for lateral entry into the fifth semester of the matching BS. The university accepts walk-in applications at its Islamabad campus for students who prefer not to use the portal, and the same merit rules apply either way. Applicants should keep digital copies of all certificates ready, as the portal asks for uploads at submission.

Eligibility Criteria

• Intermediate or equivalent with the relevant subject group for the program.
• Minimum 50% aggregate after combining academic marks and the test.
• Qualifying score in the CUST test or a valid HEC-approved test; LAT for LLB.
• IBCC equivalence for foreign and O/A-Level qualifications.

How to Apply

1. Visit online-admissions.cust.edu.pk and create an account (or apply in person at the Islamabad campus).
2. Fill in the form and select your program.
3. Download the fee challan and pay by card, online transfer or at a Bank of Punjab branch.
4. Appear in the CUST admission test or upload an HEC-approved score.
5. Check the merit list and complete admission formalities by paying the first-semester fee.

Entry Test and Merit

Merit = Matric 10% + FSc 50% + test 40%, with a 50% aggregate floor. Candidates holding a valid HEC-approved score are exempt from the university test but still need to upload the score certificate for it to be counted. Pharm-D and LLB applicants should also meet their regulators’ conditions, including HEC’s LAT for law. Pattern and preparation guidance are in the CUST entry test guide.
