The Ghotki Campus of Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur is one of SALU’s two additional campuses in upper Sindh, located in Ghotki district on the left bank of the Indus near the Punjab border. The Vice Chancellor’s message on the official website refers to the university’s two campuses in Shahdadkot and Ghotki; the establishment year is not stated on the pages reviewed.
About the Campus
Ghotki district, with Mirpur Mathelo, Daharki and Ubauro, is home to fertiliser plants and gas fields but had no public university before this campus opened. The campus brings SALU’s BS degrees in business, computing and English to local students, who previously commuted to Sukkur or Khairpur. Academic standards, examinations and degrees are those of the main campus at Khairpur Mir’s (salu.edu.pk).
