BBA (Hons) at the National University of Modern Languages (NUML) is a four-year, eight-semester undergraduate business degree offered at the Islamabad main campus and at all nine regional campuses, from Lahore and Faisalabad to Karachi, Quetta and Mirpur AJK.

Program Overview

The BBA (Hons) at NUML is a broad-based business degree. Over eight semesters students move from foundation courses in accounting, economics, business mathematics and communication skills to core areas such as marketing, financial management, human resource management, operations and strategic management. Later semesters add specialisation electives, a research project and an internship, and NUML adds its language strength by weaving English communication into the program.

This degree fits students who want a general management grounding before choosing a direction, who enjoy working with people and numbers in roughly equal measure, and who may later go on to an MBA or a professional qualification. Because NUML runs the program at ten locations, it is also one of the easiest BBA programs in Pakistan to study close to home.

Eligibility Criteria

According to the NUML eligibility document for Fall 2026, BBA applicants need Intermediate (12 years of schooling) with at least 45 percent marks, or A-level with 50 percent. No particular intermediate group is required, so pre-engineering, pre-medical, commerce, ICS and humanities students can all apply. NUML does not list a separate entry test for BBA; selection is on academic merit plus a departmental test/interview as announced on the portal.

Admission Process

  1. Create an account on the NUML Admission Portal and fill in the online form.
  2. Upload a passport-size photograph with a blue background along with scanned academic documents and CNIC/B-form.
  3. Pay the non-refundable admission processing fee of Rs. 2,500 (Source: numl.edu.pk/admissions). A separate form fee applies if you add priorities in another faculty.
  4. Choose your program priorities within one faculty on the same form. Priority 1 is the one you are tested or interviewed for; other priorities are considered on merit.
  5. Appear for the departmental test/interview on the date shown on the portal, then watch for the merit list and pay the semester fee within the given window.

Late or incomplete forms are rejected (official admissions page). For the test format see our NUML entry test page.

Fee Structure

NUML publishes a Fee Structure Fall 2026 PDF on its fee page (numl.edu.pk/admission/fee). Per-semester tuition differs by campus and shift, so check the official website for the current figure. NUML notes that fees rise by about 5-10 percent a year; refunds are 100 percent in the first week of classes, 50 percent in the second week and nil after 15 days.

Career Scope in Pakistan

BBA graduates in Pakistan generally start in entry-level roles in banks, telecom companies, FMCG firms, NGOs and family businesses – sales and marketing executive, HR officer, operations trainee, customer relationship positions and management trainee programs. The degree is also the standard stepping stone to an MBA, ACCA/CMA exemptions and the CSS/PMS exams. Graduates who build a second skill such as digital marketing, data analysis or a foreign language from NUML itself tend to stand out in a crowded market.
