Explore BS Artificial Intelligence – Bahria University at Bahria University, including duration, eligibility and connected admission resources.
BS Artificial Intelligence at Bahria University is a four-year, 136-credit-hour undergraduate degree of the Department of Computer Science, offered at the E-8 and H-11 campuses in Islamabad and at the Karachi and Lahore campuses.
Program Overview
BS Artificial Intelligence at Bahria is a 136-credit-hour computing degree that starts from the common computing core – programming, data structures, discrete mathematics, databases, operating systems – and then specialises in machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, natural language processing, knowledge representation, intelligent agents and AI ethics. Mathematics for AI (linear algebra, probability, optimisation) runs through the middle semesters and a capstone project applies the methods to a real dataset or product.
The degree suits students who were strong in mathematics at intermediate, are curious about how systems learn from data, and want to work on the research-flavoured edge of software. If you prefer building conventional applications, BSCS or BSIT may fit better.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants normally need Intermediate (or equivalent) with Mathematics; pre-engineering, ICS and pre-medical (with mathematics deficiency courses) backgrounds are commonly accepted for Bahria computing programs. The exact minimum percentage is published on the official admission roadmap each cycle.
Bahria University does not publish minimum intermediate percentages on its public admission test page, and the Admission Quota and Test Exemption pages hold the detailed conditions, so confirm the exact percentage and subject requirement for this program on the official undergraduate admission roadmap before applying.
Admission Process
- Read the How to Apply page and create an account on the Bahria online admission portal.
- Fill in the application, upload documents and pay the registration/processing fee by the registration deadline (18 Dec 2026 for most programs in the Spring 2027 plan).
- Sit the Bahria University Entry Test (BUET): 100 MCQs in 120 minutes with no negative marking. For computer science and engineering applicants the BUET paper is 30 percent Verbal Ability, 15 percent Quantitative Reasoning, 15 percent Analytical Reasoning, 10 percent Physics and 30 percent Mathematics.
- Check the BUET result on the portal (24 Dec 2026 for most Spring 2027 programs) and attend the interview if shortlisted.
- Pay the first-semester fee by the stated deadline; regular classes for Spring 2027 begin on 25 January 2027.

Career Scope in Pakistan
AI graduates in Pakistan are hired as machine-learning engineers, data scientists, computer-vision and NLP developers and AI product analysts by software houses, fintech and e-commerce companies, telecom operators and a growing set of foreign remote employers. Banks and government data projects also recruit, and strong graduates often continue to MS programs abroad. A portfolio of Kaggle-style projects and GitHub work counts heavily at the hiring stage.
