Explore BS English Language and Literature (Evening) – QUEST Nawabshah at University of Engineering and Technology, Peshawar, including duration, eligibility and connected admission resources.
BS English Language and Literature in the evening shift at QUEST Nawabshah is the second intake of the university’s English degree, listed separately in the Batch-26 (2026) admission notice under BS (Evening Shift) along with IT, Computer Science, AI, Cyber Security and Data Science. It is a four-year, eight-semester programme taught after regular hours at the Sakrand Road campus.
Program Overview
The evening programme follows the same scheme of studies as the morning BS English: language skills and academic writing, phonetics, morphology and syntax, sociolinguistics, classical and modern English literature, Pakistani and postcolonial literature in English, literary theory, ELT and research methodology. Timetabling after 2 pm is designed for working students, in-service teachers and candidates who could not secure a morning seat.
It suits school teachers in Nawabshah, Sakrand and nearby districts upgrading their qualifications, students who work during the day, and applicants whose merit position did not reach the morning list. Evening admission is also handled through the central QUEST portal, and the same 50 percent intermediate threshold applies.

Career Scope in Pakistan
Evening graduates mostly continue in or move into teaching, from private schools to colleges, and many sit for provincial teaching and public-service examinations. Content writing, editing, translation, corporate communication and media remain open fields, and an MPhil afterwards qualifies graduates for college and university lecturer posts across Sindh.
