The University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Peshawar is the main public engineering university of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, granted university status in 1980. It admits undergraduate students through the ETEA engineering entrance test and offers engineering, computing and architecture programs at Peshawar and its constituent campuses.

Admission Process
Undergraduate admission is through the ETEA engineering entrance test, with applications made on the admissions portal www.enggentrancetest.pk. Candidates with Intermediate Part-I or Part-II (or awaiting FSc or DAE results) may sit the test; admission requires more than 60% unadjusted intermediate marks. Entry Test and Merit
Admission is based on the ETEA entrance test linked from the official site. Students who studied Computer Science instead of Chemistry may attempt a Computer Science section for Computer Systems and Software Engineering. The merit weightage between SSC, HSSC and the ETEA score is given in the prospectus: check the official website.
