BS Information Technology at Bahria University is a four-year, 136-credit-hour undergraduate degree of the Department of Computer Science, offered at the E-8 Islamabad campus and at the Karachi and Lahore campuses.
Program Overview
BS Information Technology (136 credit hours) at Bahria focuses on the applied side of computing: web and mobile application development, database design and administration, networking and system administration, cloud and virtualisation, information security, IT infrastructure and project management, alongside the shared programming and data-structures foundation. Compared with BSCS there is less emphasis on theory such as automata and compilers and more on deploying and managing working systems.
The program suits practically minded students who want to build and run business systems, support enterprise IT, or move into cybersecurity and cloud roles. It is often the better fit for ICS graduates who enjoy hands-on lab work.
