B.Eng. Technology in Civil Engineering Technology at Quaid-e-Awam University of Engineering, Science and Technology, Nawabshah is a four-year engineering technology degree offered in the Faculty of Technology. The 2026 admission notice lists it with Food Engineering Technology under the CET/FET category, admitting students with at least 50 percent marks in intermediate or DAE.
Program Overview
Civil Engineering Technology is the applied counterpart of BE Civil Engineering. The programme covers surveying, construction materials and testing, concrete and steel construction technology, soil mechanics and foundations, road and highway technology, water supply and drainage, building drawing and CAD, estimation and costing, and construction site management. Workshop, survey camp and site-based training take up a larger share of the timetable than in the BE degree.
It suits students, including DAE Civil diploma holders, who want to work hands-on in construction supervision rather than in design offices. Note that the qualification is registered with the National Technology Council as an engineering technologist, not with PEC as an engineer, which affects eligibility for some government posts.

Career Scope in Pakistan
Civil engineering technologists work as site supervisors, quantity surveyors, materials-testing technologists, highway and irrigation field staff, and project coordinators with construction contractors, consultants, provincial works and irrigation departments, housing schemes and Gulf construction firms. Demand in Sindh is driven by road, canal lining and housing projects, and many technologists later run their own contracting businesses.
