BS English (Language and Literature) at QUEST Nawabshah is a four-year, eight-semester degree listed in the Batch-26 (2026) admission notice under BS Studies, with seats in the morning shift. It is the university’s only humanities degree and sits administratively in the Faculty of Science.

Program Overview

The programme combines English language skills with literary study: grammar and composition, phonetics and phonology, linguistics, English poetry, drama and fiction from the Renaissance to the modern period, literary criticism, South Asian writing in English, ELT methodology, research methods and translation. Later semesters allow some specialisation between the linguistics and the literature strands.

It is a good option for students from arts, science or commerce backgrounds who are strong in English and are aiming at teaching, media, civil-service or further study. Admission is on the BS criteria, which require at least 50 percent marks in intermediate or equivalent.
