Explore B.Eng. Technology in Food Engineering Technology – QUEST Nawabshah at University of Engineering and Technology, Peshawar, including duration, eligibility and connected admission resources.
B.Eng. Technology in Food Engineering Technology at QUEST Nawabshah is a four-year, eight-semester engineering technology degree in the Faculty of Technology. The official programmes page lists the Department of Agro-Food Processing Engineering Technology, and the 2026 admission notice opens the degree under the technology (FET) category with a 50 percent intermediate requirement.
Program Overview
Food Engineering Technology trains technologists for the food and agro-processing industry. Subjects include food chemistry and microbiology, unit operations in food processing, post-harvest technology, dairy, meat and cereal processing, food preservation and packaging, quality assurance and food safety systems such as HACCP, refrigeration and cold-chain management, and plant utilities. The degree is practice-oriented with pilot-plant and industrial training components.
It is a natural choice for students in the agricultural heartland of Sindh who want to add value to crops, fruit, dairy and livestock. The entry bar is lower than for the BE programmes, but applicants should be comfortable with chemistry and basic engineering science.
