BE Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering at Quaid-e-Awam University of Engineering, Science and Technology, Nawabshah is a four-year, eight-semester morning-shift degree accredited by PEC. It is a comparatively young discipline at QUEST and is run with the Mechanical Engineering department’s workshop and CAD facilities.

Program Overview

Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering is about producing goods efficiently. Subjects include manufacturing processes, CAD/CAM and CNC machining, operations research, production planning and control, quality engineering, work study and ergonomics, supply chain management, industrial safety and lean manufacturing, on a base of mechanics, materials and thermodynamics. Students typically do an industrial project on improving a real production line.

It is ideal for students who like engineering but also enjoy organising systems and people. Graduates are as comfortable with a spreadsheet of production data as with a lathe, which makes the degree a good fit for the management-minded engineer.
