BS Information Technology at Quaid-e-Awam University of Engineering, Science and Technology, Nawabshah is a four-year science degree offered in both morning and evening shifts. It was one of the first BS programmes started at QUEST and remains a high-demand option for students from across Sindh.
Program Overview
BS IT concentrates on deploying and managing computing systems in organisations. Students study programming, databases, networking and system administration, web technologies, information security, cloud computing, enterprise systems, IT project management and human-computer interaction, alongside the core computing subjects shared with Computer Science. Practical labs on servers, networks and web stacks are emphasised.
It suits students who want to work with technology in business settings and who are more interested in building and running systems than in computing theory. Pre-engineering, pre-medical and ICS candidates are all eligible for BS programmes at QUEST provided they meet the 50 percent requirement.
