Explore BS Physics – QUEST Nawabshah at University of Engineering and Technology, Peshawar, including duration, eligibility and connected admission resources.

BS Physics at Quaid-e-Awam University of Engineering, Science and Technology, Nawabshah is a four-year, eight-semester morning-shift science degree in the Faculty of Science. The 2026 admission notice lists it among the BS disciplines, with a note that admission of pre-medical candidates requires HEC permission.

Program Overview

The curriculum covers mechanics, waves and optics, electricity and magnetism, modern physics, quantum mechanics, thermodynamics and statistical mechanics, electrodynamics, solid-state physics, nuclear and particle physics, electronics, computational physics and laboratory techniques. Being housed in an engineering university gives students access to electronics and materials labs beyond those of a typical physics department.

The degree suits students who enjoy understanding why things work at a fundamental level and who want a route into research, teaching or technical careers. Pre-engineering candidates are the natural applicants; pre-medical students should check with the admission office about the HEC-permission condition.
