BS Computer Science at the University of Education profile (UE), Lahore, is a four-year undergraduate degree under the university’s Division of Science and Technology. UE is a public university of the Government of Punjab with headquarters in Township, Lahore, and campuses in Attock, DG Khan, Faisalabad, Jauharabad, Multan and Vehari; computing programmes are offered at several of these sites.

Program Overview

UE’s programme page sets out its aims as broad and deep knowledge of computer science supported by mathematics, science and management, strong problem-solving and analytical skills for industry and research, innovation and communication through reports and projects, and readiness for higher study. Source: UE BS Computer Science page. The curriculum follows the HEC scheme (programming, data structures, databases, operating systems, software engineering, networks, AI and a final project). Because UE grew out of Punjab’s teacher-training colleges, the degree is also a sensible choice for students who may later teach computer science at school or college level.

Admission Process

  1. Register on the UE admission portal at admissions.uoel.edu.pk (UMS) and fill in Matric and Intermediate details.
  2. Choose the campus and programme; generate and pay the processing-fee challan within the phase window.
  3. Phase II of Fall 2026: challan generation 18-27 September 2026 with a merit list on 28 September, then applications 28 September-4 October 2026 with a merit list on 5 October 2026.
  4. Check the campus-wise merit and quota lists on ue.edu.pk.
  5. Pay the semester dues and complete enrolment at the campus.

UE does not hold an entry test for BS admission; merit is prepared from academic marks. See our UE entry test page for how merit is calculated and the admissions archive for each phase.

Fee Structure

UE links a semester-wise fee schedule for all programmes from its fee structure page, but the file is hosted externally and could not be read for this update – check the official website for the BS Computer Science fee at your campus. Public-sector rates apply, and the financial assistance office administers need-based support; see also our scholarships archive.

Career Scope in Pakistan

Graduates of UE’s computer science programme work as developers and support engineers in Lahore and in the district towns where UE has campuses, in school and college teaching (where the UE brand is strong), and in government IT units. The modest public-sector fee makes the degree a good value route into software jobs, freelancing and MS admission for students who could not afford private universities.
