Air University

Air University, established in 2002, is a Pakistan Air Force-linked university headquartered in Islamabad with seven campuses and 89+ degree programs across computing, engineering, management, social sciences, health sciences and aerospace studies. It admits undergraduates through its own AU-CBT test with published merit formulas and per-credit-hour fees.

Admission Process

Apply online through the Air University admissions portal (portals.au.edu.pk/admissions) with a Rs. 2,500 non-refundable application processing charge. The main undergraduate intake is Fall (Fall 2026 admissions advertised); the official website publishes an admission schedule, eligibility criteria and required documents pages.

Entry Test and Merit

Air University conducts its own computer-based test (AU-CBT) covering English, Analytical, Quantitative and subject-knowledge sections based on the HSSC group. Exemptions are given for NAT/USAT (minimum score 50, within one year) and SAT-1 (1100+) for business programs. Official merit: Engineering = SSC 10% + HSSC 50% + test 40%; Non-Engineering = SSC 15% + HSSC 35% + test 50%.

Approximate Fee Range

Per the official Fall 2026 fee page, undergraduate tuition ranges from Rs. 5,000 to Rs. 10,000 per credit hour (first-semester tuition roughly Rs. 88,500 to Rs. 180,000), plus one-time admission fee Rs. 20,000, endowment Rs. 5,000, security deposit Rs. 10,000 and Rs. 6,000 misc charges per semester.
