The Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering and Management Sciences (BUITEMS) is a public-sector university in Quetta established in 2002. Admission Process
Apply online at oas.buitms.edu.pk (processing fee Rs. 2,500 online or Rs. 2,000 manual, non-refundable), then submit a hard copy with attested documents and the fee receipt to the admissions office before the closing date. The main intake is Fall (the Fall 2025 deadline was 20 August 2025 and the Fall 2026 eligibility document is posted). Eligible candidates are called for the NTS admission test (valid NTS or HAT results are also accepted), merit is computed from Matric, Intermediate and test marks, and all new students complete a foundation semester.
Entry Test and Merit
The admission test is conducted through NTS (NAT); the HEC HAT is accepted for some programs and the LAT is required for LLB. Engineering, Architecture, Fashion and Textile Design and Fine Arts also require an aptitude or freehand drawing test. Merit is based on Matric, Intermediate and test marks; the exact weightings are not stated officially, so check the official website.
Approximate Fee Range
Regular programs: approximately Rs. 82,700 for the first semester and Rs. 53,415 per semester thereafter for Engineering, ICT, Architecture, Law, Business and Data Science; approximately Rs. 69,175 for the first semester and Rs. 44,410 per semester thereafter for Sciences, Social Sciences, Education and similar programs. Self-support seats cost approximately Rs. 104,225 to 148,385 per semester after a higher first semester.
