Lahore University of Management Sciences

The Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) is a private, not-for-profit university chartered in 1985. It is widely regarded as one of the most selective universities in Pakistan, with schools of business, humanities and social sciences, science and engineering, law and education, and a large need-based financial aid program.

Admission Process

Apply through the LUMS online admission system (admission.lums.edu.pk) for the Fall intake. For Fall 2027 the undergraduate application deadline is 20 January 2027, with documents and the processing fee due by 21 January 2027 and financial aid applications by 22 February 2027. The application processing fee is PKR 12,500 (USD 220 for international applicants). Selection considers academic record, the admission test, the application form, documents and possibly an interview; admission is merit based and decisions are final.

Entry Test and Merit

Applicants submit SAT (deadline 6 March 2027; tests taken before March 2025 are not accepted), ACT (deadline 10 April 2027) or the LUMS Common Admission Test (LCAT), a paper-based MCQ test with two verbal and two mathematics sections of 40 minutes each, offered once per cycle with a PKR 7,500 fee. Minimum academic eligibility includes, for example, 75% in Matric plus 75% in FSc or 70% in FA, three Bs at A-Level, or an IB Diploma score of 29/45. No numeric merit weightage is published.
