Admission Process
Register on the undergraduate admission portal (ugadmissions.neduet.edu.pk) with your email and CNIC, complete the online form, pay the application fee at a listed bank using the transaction ID and download the admit card. Admissions are advertised around late March each year; the Pre-Admission Entry Test is held in June-July, merit and call lists are issued in mid-July and classes begin in mid-August (Batch 2026 schedule). Shortlisted candidates report in person with original documents, a chest X-ray and photographs. Minimum HSC marks are 60% for BE, B.Arch and BS Computer Science and 50% for other BS programs.
Entry Test and Merit
NED conducts its own computer-based Pre-Admission Entry Test with four sections of 25 marks each, based on the candidate’s HSC group (for example English, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry); 50% is the pass mark, two attempts are allowed and the best score counts. The official merit formula is: Merit Score = 40% HSC Part-I (or O-Level/equivalent) marks + 60% NED Entry Test marks.
Approximate Fee Range
Check official website. The official admissions FAQ states only the one-time self-finance seat fee (Rs. 890,000 plus 3% tax) and the sponsored/foreign seat fee (Rs. 1,100,000 plus 3% tax); regular per-semester fees are listed in Chapter 8 of the prospectus.
