The University of Karachi (UoK) is one of the largest public universities in Pakistan, established in 1951. Spread over a vast campus in Karachi, it offers BS programs in nine faculties and admits students either on open merit or through its own admission test, depending on the department.

Admission Process
Undergraduate (BS) applications are submitted online through the UoK admission portal (uokadmission.edu.pk) during the annual admissions cycle; the official site currently advertises Admissions 2027 for undergraduate and postgraduate programs. There are two routes: Open Merit admissions and Test-Based admissions (a sample BS test paper is published on the site). Doctor of Pharmacy and Visual Studies have separate prospectuses, and foreign nationals apply through their embassy and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Entry Test and Merit
UoK conducts its own admission test for test-based programs (a sample paper is available on the admissions page); other programs are admitted on open merit based on intermediate marks. The merit formula is not stated on the public admissions page: check the official website.
Approximate Fee Range
Check official website. The UoK semester fees page explains that fee vouchers are paid through KuickPay but does not publish amounts.
