IIUI Undergraduate Admissions 2026-27

The International Islamic University, Islamabad runs two undergraduate intakes a year. As of October 2026 the Fall 2026 cycle is closed (applications ended in mid-July and classes started in September), and the Spring 2027 cycle is expected to open in the first week of November 2026 with a 15 December deadline, following the official policy calendar. Programs Open for Admission

Spring intakes usually open a subset of programs. Undergraduate options across the year include:

• BS Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, Bioinformatics
• BS Electrical, Civil, Mechanical and Biomedical Engineering
• BBA, BS Accounting & Finance, BS Economics, BS Islamic Banking & Finance
• BS Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Environmental Sciences
• BS Psychology, Sociology, Media Studies, Political Science, History, Education
• LLB (Shariah & Law), BS Islamic Studies, BS Arabic, BS English

Male and female applicants compete for separate seat pools on their respective campuses, so the closing merit for the same program can differ between the two. The official policy also notes that each faculty sets its own seat numbers each semester, which is why some programs appear only in Fall. Always read the semester-specific admission notice on the website rather than assuming last year’s list applies.

Eligibility Criteria

• Intermediate or equivalent in the relevant group; the policy sets no blanket percentage, so check each program’s threshold.
• Merit-only admission; no rounding of percentages.
• Provisional admission for result-awaiting candidates (results due within 15 days of semester start).
• IBCC equivalence for O/A-Level and foreign certificates.

How to Apply

1. Register at https://admission.iiu.edu.pk/ and create a profile.
2. Select up to five programs within one faculty (a second faculty needs a second fee).
3. Pay the Rs. 1,500 processing fee (USD 100 for overseas applicants).
4. Upload documents and submit before the deadline.
5. Appear for the IIUI test if your program requires one, or upload your HEC USAT score.
6. Check merit lists on the official website and pay dues by the stated date.

Entry Test and Merit

Most programs are open merit (SSC 40% + HSSC 60%); test-based programs use SSC 15% + HSSC 25% + Test 60% unless an accreditation body sets its own formula. Full detail in the IIUI entry test guide.
