Programs Open for Admission
- Engineering: BS Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Computer and Industrial Engineering
- IT: BS Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Information Technology, Cyber Security, Data Science
- Technology: BET (Civil)
Every program admits for the September session only; there is no spring entry at NUTECH. Seats are allotted on a single merit list per program, with later lists released if seats remain. International applicants and overseas Pakistanis apply through the same portal but may present SAT subject scores instead of NUET. Because the four sittings stretch from January to July, applicants finishing HSSC in 2027 can comfortably sit NUET-3 or NUET-4 after their board exams, while those with a completed HSSC can lock in a score early in the year.
Eligibility Criteria
- Engineering BS: 50% SSC and 60% HSSC (Pre-Engineering; Pre-Medical with additional Mathematics; ICS with Maths/Physics/CS; or relevant DAE).
- Computing BS: 50% SSC and 50% HSSC with Mathematics (Pre-Engineering, Pre-Medical, ICS, or DAE any discipline).
- BET (Civil): 50% SSC and 50% HSSC (Pre-Engineering, Pre-Medical, ICS or DAE Civil).
- NUET score mandatory; SAT subject scores for international applicants.
How to Apply
- Sign up on the NIMS admissions portal at https://nims.nutech.edu.pk/web/signin.
- Complete the online form and upload SSC/HSSC documents.
- Pay the Rs. 5,000 processing fee.
- Choose a NUET sitting and centre; download the admit card.
- Sit NUET (repeat in later sittings if you want a better score).
- Check the August merit list on the website and the portal.
- Pay admission dues (admission fee Rs. 35,000, security Rs. 20,000, semester fee) and attend orientation.
Entry Test and Merit
Merit is NUET 70% + HSSC 20% + SSC 10%. Only the best NUET score across the sittings you attempt is counted, so an early attempt carries no penalty. Sample papers for each stream are posted on the admissions page and are the best indicator of the question style. Sittings, eligibility and tips are detailed in the NUTECH entry test guide.
Fee and Scholarships
Per semester: Rs. 160,000 for BS programs and Rs. 92,500 for BET (Civil), plus one-time admission fee Rs. 35,000, refundable security Rs. 20,000 and miscellaneous Rs. 7,500. Fees are subject to revision. Board toppers (with 75%+ in NUET) and the NUET topper get a 100% first-semester tuition waiver; second and third NUET positions get 75% and 50% at the 90th percentile.
