National University of Technology (NUTECH) Islamabad

The National University of Technology (NUTECH) is a young public-sector university in Islamabad, chartered in 2018 with a mandate to produce engineers and technologists for industry. It sits on IJP Road near Rawalpindi and is sponsored by the Pakistan Army’s engineering establishment. NUTECH is known for a hands-on, industry-aligned curriculum, a rolling four-sitting entry test (NUET) and clear, published fee and scholarship rules. Admission Process

NUTECH takes undergraduates once a year for the September session, but you can qualify through any of four NUET sittings held between January and July. The process: register on the NIMS portal, pay the Rs. 5,000 application processing fee, sit NUET, then wait for the first merit list in the second week of August. Entry Test and Merit

The NUTECH Entry Test (NUET) carries 70% of merit, HSSC/A-Level or DAE 20% and SSC/O-Level 10%; international applicants can substitute SAT subject scores. A full BS program therefore involves eight semesters of tuition plus the one-time charges, and the fee notice makes clear that the university may revise amounts between batches. Refund rules are also published: 100% of fees (less registration and processing) up to day 10 of the semester, falling to 50% by day 30 and nothing afterwards except the security deposit.

Board topper (first position in HSSC with at least 75% in NUET; Cambridge equivalent A* in 7 and A in 4): 100% tuition waiver
NUET topper across the batch: 100% waiver; second place 75% and third place 50%, provided they score at the 90th percentile or above
