Habib University Entry Test 2026-27

Habib University runs its own entrance examination, and it is one of the few Pakistani universities whose test is prepared by the College Board, the body behind the SAT. Which Test Is Required

Every undergraduate applicant takes the Habib University Entrance Test unless exempted on the basis of SAT I scores or very high academic grades. The test is required for all six programs across both schools. There is no NTS, HEC USAT or ETEA route; applicants cannot substitute another Pakistani university’s test. Exemption thresholds for SAT are not published on the entrance examination page, so confirm with the Office of Admissions.

Eligibility

Applicants must have completed, or be sitting by June 2027, an Intermediate, A Level, High School Diploma, Baccalaureate or equivalent qualification and meet the grade and subject prerequisites published by the university. Engineering and computer science applicants need a mathematics background; those who fall short can write to the Office of Admissions, which decides case by case.

Registration and Fee

Register at https://eapplication.habib.edu.pk/, submit the e-application and pay the application fee online or by uploading a bank receipt. The admissions page does not state the fee amount, so check the official website. The test is booked through the same e-application once the form is complete.

Merit Formula

Habib does not publish a numeric merit formula. Admission decisions combine the entrance test, academic record, the meta-curricular form and the interview, and scholarships from 20% to 100% are tied to the resulting merit score. Check the official website for any update.

Preparation Tips

• Work through official SAT practice material; the Habib test follows the same College Board style of reading, grammar and maths questions.
• DSSE candidates should revise A Level or FSc mathematics thoroughly, especially algebra, functions and trigonometry.
• AHSS candidates should practise short argumentative writing, since writing ability is assessed.
• Apply in an early round: scholarship funds in later rounds are limited according to the university.
• Prepare the meta-curricular form honestly; it is part of the file reviewed before interviews.
