NTU Entry Test 2026-27

National Textile University does not force applicants through a single test. Depending on the program, you can use NTU’s own test or submit a score from a national test body. This page explains what the official program pages say for the 2026-27 cycle, with the caveat that NTU’s admissions pages do not publish a detailed test pattern. Which Test Is Required

For engineering programs such as BS Textile Engineering, the official program page accepts any one of: NTU Test, NTS test, HEC-ETC (HAT/USAT) test, ECAT or the NUST entry test. Computing, business, design and science programs typically rely on NTU’s own test or an HEC-accepted test; design programs may add an aptitude or portfolio component. Eligibility

• BS Textile Engineering: at least 60% in FSc Pre-Engineering, FSc Pre-Medical, ICS (Physics, Maths, Computer), relevant DAE, or three A-Levels (Physics, Chemistry, Maths) with eight O-Levels.
• Some backgrounds must clear a Chemistry or Mathematics remedial course before the first semester.
• O/A-Level and foreign applicants need an IBCC equivalence certificate before merit is finalised.
• Result-awaiting students may apply for provisional admission.

Registration and Fee

Applications are submitted through the admissions section of ntu.edu.pk. The processing fee is not stated on the verified pages — check the official website. External test fees are paid to the test body (NTS, HEC-ETC or UET).

Schedule

NTU’s main undergraduate test season is June to August for the Fall intake, with merit lists in August; a smaller Spring round typically runs in December–January. Verified 2026-27 dates were not published on the official pages we checked — check the official website.

Preparation Tips

• Decide early whether to sit NTU’s own test or submit ECAT/NTS/HEC scores; a valid external score saves a trip.
• Revise FSc Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics thoroughly — these drive both the test and the 50% weight on Inter Part-I.
• Practise English comprehension and basic analytical questions, which appear in most Pakistani university tests.
• Design applicants should prepare a small portfolio and drawing practice in case an aptitude round is required.
• Register before the deadline and keep the challan receipt; late applications are rarely entertained.
