Explore Bachelor of Art and History – University of Sindh at University of Sindh, including duration, eligibility and connected admission resources.
The Bachelor of Art and History at the University of Sindh is a studio-plus-theory degree offered by the Faculty of Arts at the Allama I. I. Kazi Campus in Jamshoro. It appears in the official Admissions 2027 advertisement as a first-semester bachelor programme.
Program Overview
This degree pairs practical art-making with the study of art history, so students learn drawing, painting and composition while also tracing how visual culture developed in the subcontinent and elsewhere. Coursework usually moves between studio sessions, critiques and lecture-based history modules. It suits students who want to create but also want to understand context, criticism and heritage, perhaps with an eye on teaching, museum or gallery work.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants normally come from any intermediate stream (Arts, Science or Commerce) with a passing HSC-II; the exact minimum percentage and seat quotas are in the prospectus. Importantly, the advertisement lists this programme among those requiring a separate aptitude test in addition to the general pre-entry test.
The 2027 advertisement makes the Sindh University pre-entry test mandatory for bachelor programmes with a minimum score of 40%; candidates awaiting their HSC-II result may still register and sit the test (Source: Admissions 2027 advertisement).
Admission Process
Admission to Bachelor of Art and History runs through the central Directorate of Admissions, not the department. For the 2027 session the university announced online registration from 10 August 2026 to 11 September 2026 and a pre-entry test for bachelor programmes on 4 and 11 October 2026 (Source: advertisement_2027.pdf). The sequence is: register on the Sindh University admission portal, pay the Rs. 3,000 processing fee through HBL or a 1-Bill channel, sit the test, and wait for the merit list; selected candidates then pay the admission fee and hand in the printed form with original documents.
Our University of Sindh Undergraduate Admissions 2026-27 record tracks the schedule, and the University of Sindh entry test page explains the pre-entry test format.
Fee Structure
The university publishes its fee schedule on an official Fees Structure page and inside the prospectus (Prospectus 2026). At the time of writing that page could not be loaded, so no semester figure is quoted here; the only confirmed amount is the Rs. 3,000 application processing fee from the 2027 advertisement. Check the official website for the current fee of this programme.
Career Scope in Pakistan
Graduates work as practising artists, art teachers in schools and academies, illustrators, gallery assistants, heritage and museum staff, and content creators for publishing and media houses. Sindh’s strong craft and heritage sector, including bodies working on Mohenjo-daro and Makli, gives art historians local relevance. Many graduates continue to an MA or MPhil in Fine Arts or Art History to teach at college level.
