Explore BSc Mining Engineering – UET Peshawar at University of Engineering and Technology, Peshawar, including duration, eligibility and connected admission resources.

BSc Mining Engineering at UET Peshawar is a four-year PEC-accredited degree and one of the few mining engineering programmes in Pakistan. It is taught at the main campus and is described in the 2026-27 undergraduate prospectus, which also lists mining-specific scholarships from HEC, the Government of KP and industry sponsors such as Lucky Cement.

Program Overview

Mining Engineering covers geology and mineralogy, rock mechanics, surface and underground mining methods, mine surveying, drilling and blasting, mine ventilation, mineral processing, mine safety and environmental management, mine economics and computer applications in mining. Field visits to mines in KP and Balochistan and industrial training are part of the programme.

It suits students who like geology and heavy engineering and are willing to work in remote and field locations. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s marble, chromite, coal and gemstone deposits and the national push on mineral development make the degree strategically important.
