Eligibility Criteria

Applicants need a pre-engineering intermediate; the required percentage is defined in the prospectus. Admission is through the central pre-entry test (40% minimum) and the engineering merit list, with PEC rules governing the degree.

The 2027 advertisement makes the Sindh University pre-entry test mandatory for bachelor programmes with a minimum score of 40%; candidates awaiting their HSC-II result may still register and sit the test (Source: Admissions 2027 advertisement).

Admission Process

Admission to BE Telecommunication Engineering runs through the central Directorate of Admissions, not the department. For the 2027 session the university announced online registration from 10 August 2026 to 11 September 2026 and a pre-entry test for bachelor programmes on 4 and 11 October 2026 (Source: advertisement_2027.pdf). The sequence is: register on the Sindh University admission portal, pay the Rs. 3,000 processing fee through HBL or a 1-Bill channel, sit the test, and wait for the merit list; selected candidates then pay the admission fee and hand in the printed form with original documents.

Our University of Sindh Undergraduate Admissions 2026-27 record tracks the schedule, and the University of Sindh entry test page explains the pre-entry test format.

Fee Structure

The university publishes its fee schedule on an official Fees Structure page and inside the prospectus (Prospectus 2026). At the time of writing that page could not be loaded, so no semester figure is quoted here; the only confirmed amount is the Rs. 3,000 application processing fee from the 2027 advertisement. Check the official website for the current fee of this programme.

Career Scope in Pakistan

Telecom engineers join mobile operators such as Jazz, Zong, Telenor and Ufone, PTCL and fibre providers, equipment vendors like Huawei and ZTE, broadcasting and satellite organisations, and the regulator PTA. Network planning, optimisation and NOC roles are common entry points. PEC registration is required, and postgraduate study supports moves into research and senior engineering.
