The BS Computer Science (BSCS) at the Information Technology University (ITU) is a four-year, eight-semester undergraduate degree taught at the Arfa Software Technology Park campus on Ferozepur Road, Lahore. ITU is a public-sector university set up by the Government of Punjab, and its Department of Computer Science has been rated in the W category by NCEAC, the national accreditation body for computing degrees.

Program Overview

The BSCS curriculum at ITU runs to 135 credit hours and builds from programming fundamentals, discrete mathematics and data structures in the first two years towards operating systems, databases, computer networks, algorithms and software engineering in the later semesters. A final year project is compulsory, and students must have passed at least 90 credit hours before they can register for it. The program suits students who enjoy problem solving with code and want a research-oriented environment: ITU faculty are active in machine learning, data science and systems research, and undergraduates are regularly drawn into those labs.
