BS Artificial Intelligence at the University of Agriculture Faisalabad profile is a four-year undergraduate degree listed under the Department of Computer Science, Faculty of Sciences, at the main campus in Faisalabad. The prospectus shows it at the main campus only, alongside BS Data Science and BS Bioinformatics, so students at the sub-campuses would need to transfer to Faisalabad for this degree.

Program Overview

The programme front-loads mathematics (calculus, linear algebra, probability and statistics) and programming, then builds the AI core: machine learning, artificial neural networks and deep learning, computer vision, natural language processing, search and knowledge-based systems, and AI ethics, closing with a final year project. At an agricultural university the natural application areas are crop-disease detection from images, yield prediction, livestock monitoring and remote-sensing analytics, which give UAF AI students unusual access to real data and field problems. The degree suits mathematically confident students who prefer modelling and data over general application development.

Eligibility Criteria

The official pages reviewed confirm the programme and department but not the minimum marks or stream in readable text. Applicants to UAF computing degrees are normally expected to hold Intermediate with Mathematics (Pre-Engineering or ICS), with Pre-Medical candidates taking deficiency Mathematics; verify the 2026-27 requirement in the official prospectus. The UAF entry test is compulsory.

Admission Process

  1. Register on the UAF online admission portal at admissions.uaf.edu.pk and complete the application form with Matric and Intermediate details.
  2. Pay the application fee through the generated voucher (amount shown on the portal).
  3. Appear in the UAF entry test; two sittings were held for 2026-27 with results published on 5 July and 2 August 2026.
  4. Enter programme and campus preferences, including the sub-campuses if you want them.
  5. Check the merit lists on the official merit list page, print the admission voucher from the portal and pay the dues by the deadline.

Entry-test weightage and the merit formula are given in the prospectus and could not be verified for this page – check the official website. See our UAF entry test page and the UAF Undergraduate Admissions 2026-27 record for the current cycle.

Fee Structure

UAF does not publish a per-programme fee table on the admission overview page, and the figures inside the prospectus could not be verified for this update, so check the official website for the current semester fee of the computing programmes. The prospectus does describe merit scholarships for the top 10% of students by CGPA, sibling concessions, interest-free loans through National Bank and a UAF loan scheme, and instalment options for students in financial difficulty. Career Scope in Pakistan

AI graduates from UAF can target the same machine learning, data and automation roles as graduates from Lahore and Islamabad universities, but they also have a distinctive edge in agri-tech: start-ups and development organisations working on crop monitoring, smart irrigation and supply-chain analytics actively look for people who understand both algorithms and farming. Research assistantships at UAF institutes, MS study and remote work for foreign firms are additional routes.
