Admission Process

UMPK admits one batch a year. For the 2027 academic session, online registration opened on 14 September 2026 and closed on 16 October 2026, with the pre-entry test on Sunday 1 November 2026, as reported from the advertisement. A challan of Rs. 3,000 is generated on the portal and deposited at the designated UBL account, after which the roll-number slip becomes available. Candidates awaiting HSC-II or A-level results may register conditionally. Selected candidates then submit printed forms and attested documents. These figures come from a report of the advertisement — the official website is authoritative. See our UMPK Undergraduate Admissions 2026-27 record.

  1. Register on the online admission portal and fill the form.
  2. Generate the Rs. 3,000 challan and deposit it at UBL (reported).
  3. Download the roll-number slip once payment is verified.
  4. Appear in the pre-entry test; check the merit list on the official website.
  5. Submit printed forms and attested documents to complete admission.

Entry Test and Merit

A pre-entry test is mandatory for all 4-year BS/BBA programmes; no test is reported for fifth-semester, evening or weekend programmes. For the 2026 intake a minimum of 30 marks was reported as the qualifying score, and the merit list is based on test score plus prior academic record. The exact weightage is not published on the pages we verified. See our UMPK Entry Test 2026-27 page.

Fee Structure

UMPK’s fee structure is published on its website as an image and varies by programme and shift; we could not verify the figures, so check the official website.

Scholarships and Financial Aid

A Google Career Certificate scholarship programme for eligible students has been reported at UMPK. As a public university, its students are also eligible for the HEC need-based scholarship and Sindh Education Endowment Fund — confirm schemes on the official website and see our scholarships archive.

Campuses

The university operates the former University of Sindh Mirpurkhas campus as its main campus. No sub-campuses are listed; see our campuses archive.

Why Students Choose UMPK

UMPK is the only full public university in Mirpurkhas division, so students from Tharparkar, Umerkot and Sanghar can study computing, business or English close to home at public fees. Its evening and lateral-entry routes suit working students and Associate Degree holders. Compare with University of Sindh and SMIU Karachi.
