GIKI Undergraduate Admissions 2026-27

This record tracks undergraduate admissions at the GIK Institute for the 2026-27 session. GIKI runs a single annual intake. As of October 2026 the 2026 cycle is complete — the admission test was held in July 2026 and classes began in September — so no undergraduate seats are currently open. There is no Spring intake. • BS Mechanical, Civil and Chemical Engineering
• BS Materials Engineering; BS Nanotechnology and Materials Engineering
• BS Engineering Sciences (Applied Mathematics / Applied Physics / Engineering); BS Engineering Management

All programs share one application and one test; candidates rank their program preferences on the form and are allotted a department according to merit position, so a strong test score matters more than the first-choice program. Because GIKI is fully residential, admission includes a hostel place at Topi, and the joining dates double as hostel check-in dates.

Eligibility Criteria

• Intermediate (Pre-Engineering) or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics; Chemistry required for some programs.
• A-Level and foreign-board candidates need IBCC equivalence; results awaited at application time can usually be submitted later — confirm the policy on the official website.
• Selection on earlier academic record and admission test; no quotas, reserved seats or donations (official).
• Minimum percentage: not stated on the public page — check the official admission policy document.

How to Apply

1. Register on the GIKI admissions portal when the window opens.
2. Complete the online form, upload documents and select a test city.
3. Pay the processing fee as instructed on the portal.
4. Submit financial assistance documents by the separate aid deadline if required.
5. Sit the admission test; check the merit list; pay fees and join orientation at Topi.

Entry Test and Merit

The GIKI Admission Test (Physics, Mathematics, English MCQs) drives selection; no official weightage is published, and the institute explicitly states that there are no quotas, reserved seats or admissions on donation.
