KMU Undergraduate Admissions 2026-27

Khyber Medical University’s BS admissions for session 2026-27 reached the end of the application phase on 9 October 2026. As of mid-October the portal is past the submission deadline and the next steps are the KMU-CAT result, merit lists and institute-level admission. KMU does not advertise a Spring intake for BS programs; the next cycle will be 2027-28. The KMU profile gives the wider picture of the university.

Candidates who applied before the deadline should now keep their portal login active, make sure the fee payment shows as verified, and update Part II marks if they applied on Part I results. Those who missed the window cannot apply late; KMU accepts no paper forms. For 2027-28, plan around the same pattern: a long application window from June, a single KMU-CAT sitting after the FSc result, and merit lists that allocate seats across the constituent institutes in Hayatabad. Documents normally needed at admission include original SSC and HSSC certificates with DMCs, CNIC or Form B, domicile, photographs and, for in-service candidates, the experience certificate and departmental permission letter.

The 2026-27 announcement covers BS Nursing; Pharm-D; BS Medical Microbiology; BS Human Nutrition and Dietetics; BS Public Health; DPT; BS Occupational Therapy; BS Speech and Language Pathology; BS Audiology; BS Prosthetics and Orthotics; BS Clinical Psychology and Behavioral Sciences; and the allied health group — Medical Laboratory, Dental, Anesthesia, Cardiology, Radiology, Surgical, Emergency, Respiratory Therapy and Intensive Care, Renal Dialysis, Cardiac Perfusion, Neurophysiology, Health Technology, Optometry, Aesthetic and Skin Care, Endoscopy Technology and Dental Hygiene.

Eligibility Criteria

• FSc Pre-Medical or equivalent with at least 50 percent (BS programs) or 60 percent (DPT).
• FSc Pre-Engineering accepted for BS Prosthetics and Orthotics.
• Appearance in the KMU-CAT 2026 is mandatory.
• Open to candidates from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, merged districts, AJK, Gilgit-Baltistan and other provinces on a merit-cum-quota basis.
• In-service applicants: two years of government hospital experience, through proper channel; diploma holders need IBCC equivalence.

How to Apply

1. Create an account at bsadmissions.kmu.edu.pk.
2. Enter SSC and HSSC details (Part I marks accepted initially) and choose programs.
3. Print the challan, pay at a bank and wait for verification.
4. Sit the KMU-CAT on the notified date.
5. Check merit lists on the portal and report to the allotted institute with original documents and fee.

Entry Test and Merit

Merit is 10 percent SSC, 50 percent HSSC and 40 percent KMU-CAT. The KMU-CAT guide has the eligibility detail and preparation plan.
