The Pishin Sub-Campus of Sardar Bahadur Khan Women’s University (SBKWU), Quetta, is a women-only campus in Pishin district, Balochistan, about 50 km north of Quetta. According to the official campus page, it was formally established in 2017 and inaugurated on 29 December 2017 by the then Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Reform, Ahsan Iqbal.
About the Campus
SBKWU is Balochistan’s only public women’s university, and its sub-campuses exist to bring degree education to districts where families are reluctant to send daughters to Quetta. Pishin is a Pashtun-majority agricultural district (apples, grapes and almonds are its best-known produce) with a growing demand for girls’ education. The official page describes the campus’s purpose as producing skilled, socially responsible female leaders for the district.
The campus page lists four departments – Computer Science, English, Islamic Studies and Education – and names Mr. Ashraf Kakar as Director. SBKWU’s main website confirms Pishin as one of three sub-campuses, alongside Nushki and Khuzdar, and advertised temporary teaching posts for all three in 2026.

Admissions at this Campus
SBKWU admissions are run by the Student Affairs Department in Quetta, but applicants for a sub-campus can submit the hard-copy form with attested documents at the relevant sub-campus. The procedure (per the official advertisement) is to deposit a Rs. 1,500 challan at an HBL/NBP SBKWU branch, download the form from sbkwu.edu.pk, submit it with two sets of attested documents before the deadline, and then sit the admission test, in which at least 50% is required. For Fall 2026 the online application deadline was extended to 27 August 2026. See our SBKWU Undergraduate Admissions 2026-27 record.
Facilities
The official campus page has a photo gallery but does not describe facilities; the campus is part of the SBKWU network and students are eligible for BEEF and other Balochistan scholarships advertised on the university site. Ask the campus about transport and computer-lab access.
