BBSUL Entry Test 2026-27

Benazir Bhutto Shaheed University Lyari (BBSUL) Karachi admits undergraduate students through its own admission test, with a separate test for Doctor of Pharmacy. Which Test Is Required

BBSUL holds a university admission test for 4-year BS, BBA and B.Ed programmes and a separate admission test for Pharm-D. Fifth-semester lateral-entry and some evening programmes may be admitted on academic merit or a separate test — confirm in the advertisement. BBSUL does not use NTS NAT, ETEA, ECAT or HEC HAT for undergraduate entry, and MDCAT is not required for Pharm-D at BBSUL as far as the official pages show.

Eligibility

• Intermediate (HSC-II) or equivalent in the relevant group; pre-medical for Pharm-D, science/pre-engineering or computer science preferred for BS Computer Science, IT and AI.
• Minimum percentages are not stated on the pages we verified — check the official website.
• Fifth-semester lateral entry: BA, B.Com, BSc or Associate Degree (14 years) for BBA, BS Commerce, BS Education and BS Islamic Studies.
• Candidates awaiting results may apply if the advertisement allows it — confirm in the current notice.

Registration and Fee

Applications are submitted online through the Admissions section of bbsul.edu.pk, followed by payment of the processing fee challan. The fee amount is not published on the pages we reviewed — check the official website.

Schedule

Fall 2026 (as reported): deadline 24 July, admission test 26 July, merit list 28 July 2026. Spring 2026 (as reported): deadline 17 November 2025, Pharm-D test 22 November, general test 23 November, merit list 27 November 2025. Expect the Spring 2027 round to be advertised in late October or November 2026 with tests in November — check the official website for confirmed dates.

Merit Formula

Only the Pharm-D weightage (reportedly 50% test) is available, and that from a secondary report. The merit formula for other programmes is not published on the pages we could verify; check the official prospectus.

Preparation Tips

• Revise intermediate English grammar and comprehension — a common section in Sindh university tests.
• Practise basic mathematics and quantitative reasoning daily; use intermediate textbooks rather than coaching notes.
• Pharm-D applicants should focus on Biology and Chemistry from the FSc pre-medical syllabus.
• Solve past university-style MCQ papers under a timer to build speed.
• Keep your challan receipt, CNIC/B-Form and admit slip together and visit the campus a day early if you have never been to Lyari.
