About This Entry Test

Lahore Garrison University admits undergraduates through its own entry test and an interview; it does not ask for NTS, HEC USAT or ECAT scores. Which Test Is Required

All BS programs (computing, management, social sciences, basic sciences, languages): LGU entry test + interview.
BTEC HND: application and interview; confirm test requirement with the admissions office.
Postgraduate MS/MPhil and PhD: entry test and interview (or GAT where applicable) — outside the scope of this page.

Eligibility

Intermediate (HSSC/ICS/I.Com) or equivalent; most programs ask for at least 50% marks (as circulated in the Fall 2026 admission notice — confirm on the official website).
Pre-medical background for biology programs; pre-engineering/ICS preferred for computing programs.
A-Level and foreign qualifications need an IBCC equivalence certificate.

Registration and Fee

Create an account at https://admissions.lgu.edu.pk/.
Fill in the application, upload documents and a photograph.
Pay the processing fee via the voucher (amount not published — check the official website).
Print the admit slip; the test and interview date is notified on the portal and by SMS/email.

Schedule

For Fall 2026 the circulated schedule had applications closing in mid-July 2026 with the entry test and interview the following day; later phases follow for remaining seats. LGU’s Fall cycle normally opens in May–June with tests in July–August and classes in September. As of October 2026 the portal still shows Fall 2026 open, so late-phase tests may still be running — check the official website for current dates.

Merit Formula

No official weightage between intermediate marks, the entry test and the interview is published. Merit lists are posted on the admissions portal under “Merit Lists – Fall 2026”.

Preparation Tips

Download the official Test Guidelines and degree road-maps from the portal before studying anything else.
Revise intermediate Mathematics and English — these are the common core of private-university aptitude tests.
For computing programs, brush up basic computer concepts and logical reasoning.
Practise timed MCQ sets so that an unknown duration does not catch you out.
Prepare for a short interview about your program choice and career goals.
