UST Bannu Entry Test 2026-27

About This Entry Test

The University of Science and Technology Bannu uses a mix of academic merit and third-party aptitude tests for its undergraduate admissions. Engineering seats are filled through an aptitude test run by Allied Testing Services (ATS), while most BS programmes go on open merit. This guide covers the 2026-27 cycle; pair it with the UST Bannu profile and the admissions 2026-27 record.

Which Test Is Required

  • BSc Electrical Engineering and BSc Software Engineering: Allied Aptitude Test conducted by ATS (University Entry Test category)
  • BS Computer Science, sciences, business, social sciences, arts: open merit on intermediate marks unless the advertisement specifies a test
  • LLB: HEC Law Admission Test (LAT) as required nationally — etc.hec.gov.pk
  • MS/MPhil/MBA: UAT-General; PhD: UAT-Subject (both via ATS)

The university states that the test pattern and criteria are printed on the ATS roll-number slip page, so the breakdown is only visible to registered candidates. Expect intermediate-level Mathematics, Physics and English with analytical reasoning, as is standard for engineering aptitude tests.

Eligibility

  • FSc Pre-Engineering (or ICS with Physics/Mathematics, or DAE in the relevant technology) with the minimum percentage given in the advertisement for engineering
  • Intermediate or equivalent in the relevant group for BS programmes
  • IBCC equivalence for O/A-Level and foreign certificates
  • Candidates must bring the roll-number slip and CNIC/B-Form on test day; no slip, no entry

Registration and Fee

Apply online at ustb.edu.pk/apply.php or ustbportal.com.pk, then download the fee challan and deposit it in the designated bank. Roll-number slips are issued through the ATS slip portal. The test fee amount is not published on a page we could verify — check the official website.

Schedule

For Fall 2026 the university ran the admission test in two phases; the Phase-II test was held on 16 October 2026 and its result has been announced, with 1st-shift and 2nd-shift merit lists following. Admissions normally open in August–September with classes starting in October–November. Any Spring 2027 phase will be announced on the official website.

Merit Formula

The official merit weightage is not published on a page we could verify — check the official website. Open-merit programmes are ranked on intermediate marks, while engineering merit combines academic marks with the aptitude-test score.

Preparation Tips

  • Work through FSc Physics and Mathematics numericals at speed; these dominate engineering aptitude papers
  • Practise ECAT and NTS NAT-IE sample MCQs for timing
  • Brush up English grammar, vocabulary and short comprehension passages
  • Print your roll-number slip early and keep your CNIC/B-Form with it
  • Apply in both shifts if allowed to maximise your chance of a seat
