BSc Mechatronics and Control Engineering – University of Engineering and Technology Lahore

B.Sc. Mechatronics and Control Engineering at UET Lahore Main and Faisalabad campuses: eligibility, ECAT merit, fees and scope.

Program typeUndergraduate

B.Sc. Mechatronics and Control Engineering at the UET Lahore profile is a four-year engineering degree offered at the Main Campus in Lahore and at the Faisalabad Campus, according to the official UG 2026 prospectus. UET was one of the first public universities in Pakistan to run a dedicated mechatronics department.

Program Overview

Mechatronics merges mechanical design, electronics, control theory and computing into the engineering of automated and intelligent machines: robots, CNC systems, automotive control units and industrial automation lines. Course work includes mechanics, electronic circuits, microcontrollers, sensors and actuators, control systems, PLC programming and robotics, with heavy lab content. It suits Pre-Engineering students who are equally interested in machines and in programming them.

Career Scope in Pakistan

Mechatronics engineers are hired for industrial automation in textile, food, packaging and automotive plants, by robotics and instrumentation firms, by defence production units and by companies installing PLC and SCADA systems. As Pakistani manufacturing automates, demand for control engineers is rising, and the degree also supports graduate study in robotics and AI.
