The Main Campus of the UET Lahore profile stands on GT Road in Lahore, Punjab. The institution began in 1921 as Mughalpura Technical College and received its university charter in 1961, making it the oldest engineering university in Pakistan.
About the Campus
The main campus houses all of UET’s faculties – Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Metallurgical and Polymer, Architecture and Planning, Earth Sciences, Natural Sciences and Humanities, and the business institute – along with the admissions office, the ECAT organisation and the central library. According to the official prospectus it offers the full range of B.Sc. engineering programmes plus computer science, AI, data science, cyber security, architecture, sciences and business degrees, with the largest intake of any campus.

Admissions at this Campus
All UET campuses share one admission cycle on admission.uet.edu.pk: applicants sit ECAT (engineering) or apply directly (business and most science programmes), rank campus-wise preferences and are placed by the central merit lists. Facilities
The prospectus and portal mention male and female hostels (hostel admission fee Rs. 2,810; facilities charge Rs. 3,610 per semester for residents), the central library, sports facilities, the LMS and a UET Academy. Hostel allotment notices for 2026 were published on the official site.
