QUEST Nawabshah profile: 25+ BE/BS programmes, Batch 26 admission process, pre-admission test, scholarships and official links.

Quaid-e-Awam University of Engineering, Science and Technology (QUEST) is a public-sector engineering university in Nawabshah, the headquarters of Shaheed Benazirabad district in Sindh. It grew out of the former Quaid-e-Awam engineering college and is now one of the main options for Sindh-domiciled students who want a PEC-accredited engineering degree outside Karachi and Jamshoro. QUEST is best known for its wide spread of engineering disciplines, its computer-based pre-admission test and an unusually long list of scholarship schemes. The university is listed on the HEC recognised-universities page as a public university of Sindh (Source).

Admission Process

QUEST admits one batch per year (the 2026 intake is called Batch 26). For Batch 26 the online application opened on 25 April 2026 and closed on 24 May 2026, with the pre-admission test starting 9 June 2026 on a district-wise schedule (Source). Regular and Self-Finance seats are reserved for candidates domiciled in Sindh; candidates from other provinces apply only under the Self-Finance scheme, and some seats are reserved for overseas Pakistanis. The processing fee is paid through an online HBL challan — the amount is on the challan itself, so check the official website. Full cycle details are on our QUEST Admissions 2026 (Batch 26) record.

  1. Create an account on admissions.quest.edu.pk and fill the online form.
  2. Upload a scanned photo with blue background and the paid fee challan before the deadline.
  3. Download the admit slip from your account and appear for the computer-based test with your original CNIC.
  4. Check the district-wise merit lists and complete document verification and fee payment when selected.

Entry Test and Merit

Admission is through QUEST’s own computer-based MCQ pre-admission test held at the Nawabshah campus, with a minimum passing score of 40 and a model paper in the prospectus (Source). The weightage of test marks versus intermediate marks is not published on the pages we checked — confirm it in the prospectus. Pattern, eligibility and preparation advice are covered on our QUEST Pre-Admission Test 2026 page.

Fee Structure

QUEST does not publish a consolidated fee table on the pages we reviewed. Regular seats are heavily subsidised compared with Self-Finance seats, but for the actual per-semester figures and the Self-Finance amount, check the official website or the current prospectus.

Scholarships and Financial Aid

The scholarships page names 32 schemes, including the HEC Need Based Scholarship Programme, the Ehsaas Undergraduate Scholarship Programme, the Prime Minister Tuition Fee Reimbursement, the Sindh Education Endowment Fund, the Poor Boys University Endowment Fund, the University Merit Scholarship, the Sui Southern Gas, OGDCL, PPL Welfare Trust and Fauji Fertilizer scholarships, the National Bank Karz-e-Hasna loan and several named merit awards (Source). Browse more options in our scholarships archive.

Campuses

All programmes on the official undergraduate page are delivered at the main campus in Nawabshah. If a sub-campus is announced, it will appear on the official website; our campuses archive tracks such changes.

Why Students Choose QUEST

QUEST offers one of the broadest menus of engineering specialisations in interior Sindh, from Biomedical and Energy Systems to Food Engineering Technology, at public-sector fees. Students from Sindh districts appreciate the domicile-based seat system and the district-wise test schedule, while the long scholarship list helps families with limited means. Compare it with University of Sindh and UET Lahore before deciding.
