Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology

Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology (SSUET) is a private engineering university on University Road, Karachi, Sindh, set up by the Aligarh Muslim University Old Boys’ Association and chartered by the Government of Sindh in the 1990s (the charter PDF is on the official site; the exact year should be confirmed there). It is known for computer, electrical, electronic, telecommunication, biomedical and civil engineering, a growing computing faculty and an architecture program. SSUET appears on the HEC recognised universities list as Sir Syed University of Engineering & Technology.

Admission Process

SSUET admits for Fall (main cycle, with multiple rounds) and Spring. The official undergraduate admissions page lists:

Apply online at admissions.ssuet.edu.pk and upload documents including a photograph and current result or statement of entry.
Pay the UG test/processing fee of Rs. 3,900 via MCB branch or PayPro (IBFT not accepted).
Sit the computer-based entry test on campus and, where required, a technical interview.
Check results and merit on the website; provisional offers appear on the portal.
Pay the fee at the MCB SSUET branch to confirm the seat; it is reserved only after verification.

Entry Test and Merit

SSUET holds its own on-campus computer-based test. Applicants who passed USAT, NED, MUET, NTS, ETEA, MDCAT, DUET or another public-sector university test in 2026 are exempt and may upload the scorecard, though they can still sit the SSUET test and the higher score counts. Fee Structure

Per-program fee tables are published as images on the admissions page, so exact semester amounts are not available in text; check the official website. Two official figures are stated: the Rs. 3,900 UG processing fee and, for self-finance seats in CS, SE, AI and DS, a one-time PKR 250,000 charge plus the first-semester fee and taxes, payable by cash or pay order with no instalments.
