JSMU Undergraduate Admissions 2026-27

As of October 2026, Jinnah Sindh Medical University (JSMU) Karachi has an “Admissions 2026-2027” section on its website alongside notices for scholarships (JSMU Scholarship 2026, deadline 20 September 2026; UKAA Scholarship portal 21 August–30 September 2026). The BSN 2026 batch started on 3 August 2026, so that cycle is closed. MBBS and BDS for 2026-27 will be filled through the Sindh central admission run by LUMHS after the MDCAT 2026 result; that notice is expected in the coming weeks. Pharm-D, DPT, BSMT, BS OT and BBA dates should be read from the JSMU admissions section. No Spring 2027 intake is announced. See the JSMU profile and the JSMU entry test page.

How to Apply

1. For MBBS/BDS, wait for the Sindh public sector notice on admission.lumhs.edu.pk, register with your MDCAT 2026 roll number and choose JSMU under your tagged district.
2. Pay the central processing fee and submit documents (Matric, HSSC, MDCAT result, domicile, PRC, CNIC/B-Form, photographs).
3. For Pharm-D, DPT, BSMT, BS OT or BBA, open the Admissions 2026-2027 section on jsmu.edu.pk, download the form and pay the fee stated in the notice.
4. Appear in the JSMU entry test if required and check the merit list on the website.
5. On selection, deposit fees within the deadline and complete enrolment at the relevant institute.

Note that JSMU’s own 2025-26 admissions banner is still visible on the homepage, which can confuse applicants; use the dated notices in the Admissions 2026-2027 and Admissions Updates sections instead. JSMU-tagged districts for MBBS/BDS are mainly in Karachi, so students from interior Sindh will usually be considered for other colleges under the central list. Scholarship applications run on separate deadlines from admissions — the JSMU Scholarship 2026 deadline has already passed, but need-based rounds typically reopen each semester.

Entry Test and Merit

MDCAT decides MBBS/BDS merit under the Sindh central formula (Matric 10%, HSSC 40%, MDCAT 50% in 2024-25). JSMU’s other programmes use their own test or academic merit. See the JSMU entry test page and the LUMHS entry test page.

Fee and Scholarships

Fee notices for each programme are posted on jsmu.edu.pk but amounts are inside the notices — check the official website. JSMU lists the JSMU Scholarship 2026, UKAA, SEEF, HEC/JSMU need-based, Zakat and Ushr, Ehsaas and Commonwealth schemes. See the scholarships archive.
