The College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (CVAS), Jhang, is the sub-campus of the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS), Lahore, in Jhang district, Punjab. According to the official campus page, its permanent campus is about 12 km from Jhang city on the Jhang-Chiniot road near Chenab College, on a 100-acre plot transferred to the college on 13 February 2007.
About the Campus
Jhang sits in the heart of Punjab’s livestock belt, where dairy farming, buffalo and cattle rearing and poultry are major sources of income. CVAS Jhang was created to train veterinarians and livestock professionals close to that farming base. The college has moved from a developmental to a regular (non-developmental) phase and holds Pakistan Veterinary Medical Council (PVMC) accreditation for its DVM program, with postgraduate programs added later.
The official page lists five academic departments: Pathobiology (pathology, microbiology, parasitology); Clinical Sciences (medicine, surgery and radiology, theriogenology, epidemiology and public health, plus the Veterinary Teaching Hospital); Basic Sciences (anatomy, physiology and biochemistry, pharmacology); Animal Sciences (breeding and genetics, nutrition, poultry production); and Social Sciences (computer science, statistics, livestock economics, Islamic studies, Pakistan studies, English).

Per the official CVAS page and the UVAS 2026 undergraduate admission guidelines, the Jhang campus offers:

Admissions at this Campus
Admission to CVAS Jhang is part of UVAS’s central undergraduate admission. Candidates apply online through the UVAS portal, select Jhang in their campus preferences and are considered on the same merit formula (70% Intermediate, 30% Matric) used university-wide. DVM requires F.Sc. Pre-Medical with at least 60% marks and the maximum age is 25. The official fee page shows a lower fee schedule for Jhang than for Lahore (Rs. 52,340 first semester for BS programs; DVM evening at Jhang carries an additional Rs. 100,000 per semester). Facilities
Official facilities at CVAS Jhang include an academic complex, library, auditorium, Veterinary Teaching Hospital and clinical sciences block, post-mortem teaching block, poultry and dairy farms, a biogas plant, a girls’ hostel (a boys’ hostel is listed as completed in one place and under construction in another), staff residences, an RO water plant, cafeteria and mosque.
